Prefilter cartridge
Made of polypropylene microfibres bonded by thermal action, the Spun 10" µm sediment cartridge is suitable for the prefiltration of seawater in our desalination units.
It is advisable to prefilter at 20µm before filtering at 5µm for optimal lifespan of the prefiltration and desalination membrane.
The frequency of cartridge replacement varies and strongly depends on the turbidity of the desalinated water.We also sell 316L stainless steel cartridges, washable with water, which have a very long lifespan and thus help avoid the need to carry spare cartridges.
